Braai lunch for everyone this Saturday!
We are just in time for South African National Braai Day! You may ask, what is a Braai? A “braai” is a South African term for a barbecue or grill, and it refers to both the cooking method and the social event associated with it. Braai involves grilling meat, usually over an open flame or hot coals, and it’s a popular way of preparing food in South Africa. The term “braai” can be used as a noun to describe the actual grill or barbecue equipment, as well as a verb to describe the act of grilling or barbecuing food.
And yes, you are right! You can also braai food with our Napoleon Grills. We are proud to be part of the event with Baggie’s Butcher & Deli where they are officially introducing Sosaties to their growing list of their house-made meaty delights from South Africa.
Napoleon is proud to be their official partner where they are using our grills in their kitchen! Braais have always been a significant part of South African culture and are often used as a reason to gather friends and family for outdoor meals and socializing. The cooking process typically involves marinating the meat in various flavorful spices and sauces before grilling it to perfection. Side dishes like salads, bread, and grilled vegetables are also common accompaniments to a braai.

Braais are celebrated with enthusiasm in South Africa, and they often take place in backyards, parks, or designated picnic areas. The aroma of grilled meat and the sound of friends and family chatting and enjoying each other’s company make the braai a cherished tradition in South African cuisine and social life.
Experience the Braai with Baggie’s Butcher & Deli this coming weekend! They will be cooking up a storm this weekend with boerie rolls and sosaties available this Saturday 12-3pm
